New Materials Award - Eindhoven

The New Material Award exhibition presented the work of the nominated designers, each exploring new relationships between material, process, sustainability and design.

Bygg designed the scenography as a balance between individual focus and collective dialogue. Each work was placed on its own small wooden pedestal structure, with an integrated light that gave the project a clear presence and allowed visitors to encounter it as a distinct object of research.

At the same time, the pedestals were arranged as part of a larger spatial composition. Rather than isolating the works from one another, the exhibition created a setting where materials, ideas and experiments could enter into dialogue.

The result was a simple and flexible exhibition landscape: precise enough to give each nominee its own stage, but open enough to show the shared questions and ambitions behind the New Material Award.
