New Materials Award - Milan

Het Nieuwe Instituut presented the New Material Award during Salone del Mobile 2017 in Milan.

At Palazzo Clerici, the work of eighteen designers was brought together in an exhibition celebrating material innovation and experimental design.

Bygg designed the scenography for the presentation, creating a setting in which the designers’ work could be displayed collectively while keeping each project visible and distinct.

Every hour, after a countdown, the exhibition celebrated the designers’ work with a burst of golden confetti, turning the presentation into a recurring moment of attention, festivity and shared recognition.
