House in the forest
Bygg designers were asked to make a proposal for single family house in forest suburb of Warsaw (Poland).
The volume of the house stretches between two parts of the plot: dense pine forest and more open, meadow like birch part. The division of the plot is emphasized by stripe of vine plants, climbing over the house. The green splits house for two functional parts: private (bedrooms, bathrooms) and living (dinning-, living-room, kitchen). Inside between two parts located is spacious staircase, with glass facade hidden behind vertical wooden beams, which give spectacular game of shadows during daily movement of sun. The living part of the house, with loft like spacious expression, opens to the sunny, birch/meadow part of the garden.
